Welcome to the EWGA - Northern New Jersey Chapter

The Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1991 whose mission is connecting women to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for fun.

The Northern NJ Chapter provides golf opportunities for members in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties. We offer golf education, leagues, tournaments, social events and a network of international business connections for thousands of professional women across the globe.  Members are active and retired CEOs, CFOs, Program and Project Managers, teachers and professors; realtors, financial, legal, manufacturing, medical and health professionals, small business owners and more.

Locally, we offer 20 leagues, a weekend golf school, “Ready to Golf “ and technique improvement programs, monthly on and off course networking events, rules and etiquette workshops; tristate area EWGA  stroke, scramble and match tournaments; and a Chapter Championship.

Joining the chapter is a great way to get involved in the game of golf and to meet other women. Our Calendar of Events includes education programs, leagues, golf outings, and networking & social activities.

President's Message

President’s Message

TEE OFF was a great success. More than 100 members celebrated the arrival of spring with a great Brunch, Tricky Tray, Fashion Show by Golf4Her, superb displays by many new sponsors, a Get Ready for Golf Introduction from the Upper Montclair Country Club Pro Staff, and presentations of goals and resource requirements by the Executive Board. There were  contests, gifts and prizes. The day's ticket sales contributed more than $1500 to Girls Golf of Greater Newark.

I overviewed the year's plan for activities, the need to grow the pool of active volunteers, the introduction of Executive Committees, expansion of the Executive Board, and the importance of growing our own membership and encouraging sponsors participation.

Thank you to Traci Sachs for accepting the new position of Communications Director, and Diana Galer-Jafee for stepping forward as the Recording Secretary. There are still many events and activities in need of registrars and coordinators. Each event requires at lease three volunteers. Peggy Dugan and I are coordinating these lists, so give us a call or send along an email if you can help.

Thank you to all the members of the Board, the event's attendees, and the 32 volunteers who made it possible.

We couldn't have done it without you!!

A great season planned starting with a prime time afternoon shotgun start at Black Bear on May 6th,  then Interchapter outings with Central NJ on May 21 and NYC on June 4th, and a Nine and Dine on June 16th.  Check out the clinics and POP UP wellness programs.

Be sure to save the date for Play for Pink on June 25th. Tricky Tray baskets and sponsor donations are welcome. Details and donation letters will be available on the website shortly.

League play begins in two weeks. Clean off those clubs and get them swinging.
